Unexplained Infertility
Unexplained infertility is a medical condition in which a couple is unable to conceive despite having unprotected sex for a year or more and test results show that both partners’ reproductive systems are functioning normally. Unexplained infertility is not a rare condition and affects roughly a fifth of infertile couples. Pregnancy can be achieved with treatments like fertility drugs, intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF). Treatments for unexplained infertility focus on addressing the underlying cause of infertility and are tailored to the individual couple. Unexplained infertility can be difficult to navigate, but with the right diagnosis and treatment, couples can be successful in achieving their goal of pregnancy.
