Overview
Female fertility is the ability of a woman to become pregnant and deliver a child. It is primarily determined by the quantity and quality of a woman’s eggs, how regularly she ovulates, and the ability of her uterus to support a pregnancy. Age, lifestyle, and medical history are also important factors in female fertility. Women may seek to optimize their fertility through various interventions, including lifestyle modifications and medications. Optimizing female fertility is important for couples who want to conceive, as well as for those who are at risk for reproductive disorders or complications during pregnancy or delivery.
