Plant Science
Plant science is the study of the biology and ecology of plant growth and development. It covers the genetic, molecular, physiological, biochemical, and environmental factors that determine the structure and function of plants. Plant science is important for understanding agriculture, forestry, horticulture, and biotechnology, as well as the evolution of plants and their interactions with the environment. It is essential for the development of sustainable agricultural systems, improved nutrition and health, restoration of ecosystems, and development of new and better crops. Plant science is used to improve the production, quality, and diversity of crops, and to develop better plant management strategies, such as pest and disease control, drought and nutrient management, and plant breeding.
