Overview
Family medicine is a primary healthcare field that specializes in providing comprehensive medical care to individuals and families across all ages, genders, and medical conditions. Over the years, the need for family doctors has increased due to the rise in chronic diseases and lifestyle-related disorders. The Family Medicine Residency Program is designed for doctors who aspire to become proficient family physicians. The Family Medicine Residency Program is a post-graduate education program that provides doctors with a comprehensive and intensive training environment to equip them with the necessary medical knowledge and skills. The program is structured to enable residents to acquire the experience and expertise required for clinical practice, teaching, and research in family medicine. The program covers the essential aspects of family medicine, including prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, behavioral and mental health, women’s and children’s health, geriatrics, and patient-centered care. Residents will gain clinical experience through medical rotations, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
