Cytotoxicity Assay
Cytotoxicity assays are important laboratory tests used to measure the toxicity of a chemical or biological substance on living cells. These assays are used to evaluate the safety of new drugs and other medical treatments, as well as to assess the potential risks of environmental contaminants, such as pesticides and industrial chemicals, on human health. By determining the amount of damage a substance causes to cells, cytotoxicity assays can protect people from exposure to hazardous substances. Furthermore, these assays are also used to analyze the efficacy of drug treatments, evaluate the efficacy of cancer therapies, and study the effects of genetic mutations.
