Stem Cells
Stem cells are a type of unspecialized cell that has the potential to give rise to all types of cells in the body, including those that make up organs, bones, and muscles. They play a vital role in medical research and the development of new treatments for a variety of diseases and medical conditions. Stem cells can be divided into different types depending on their source and function. Embryonic stem cells are derived from embryos, while adult stem cells are found in the body and can replace damaged or lost cells. Because of their ability to differentiate into multiple cell types, stem cells have the potential to treat a wide range of diseases and medical conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, and cancer. Stem cells are also being studied for their potential use in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
