Somatic Stem Cells
Somatic stem cells are cells found in multicellular organisms that can divide and differentiate into other types of cells. They are an important part of the body's natural healing and repair processes, as they are able to form new tissue and organs. Somatic stem cells are used in medical treatments such as regenerative and cancer therapies, tissue engineering, as well as research into diseases and medical treatments. These cells can be isolated from many different sources, including human tissue and umbilical cord blood, and are believed to have the potential to treat a wide range of diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Somatic stem cells are a promising area of research that could lead to significant medical breakthroughs, and have already been used to successfully treat a number of conditions.
