Cell Division
Cell division is the process by which cells replicate and form two new identical daughter cells. It is an essential process for the growth and development of organisms, and occurs among most types of cells. Cell division is important in the formation of tissues and organs, wound healing and immune responses, and the replacement of old, dead or defective cells with new ones. It is also necessary for reproduction, with each new organism created through the splitting of a single parent cell. Therefore, cell division is a fundamental process for all living organisms.
