Adult Stem Cells
Adult stem cells are undifferentiated cells found in different tissues of the adult body. They have the potential to develop into any type of specialized cell in the body and can be used to repair or replace damaged cells. Through the process of differentiation, adult stem cells divide to form different types of cells and tissues, such as heart muscle cells, brain cells, or bone cells. Adult stem cell research has the potential to revolutionize the field of medicine by providing treatments for a wide range of chronic medical conditions, from cancer to diabetes. Stem cell treatments have been successful in treating diseases such as Parkinson's, and could provide hope for treating a variety of other conditions and diseases.
