Pollution

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the environment that cause harm or discomfort to humans, animals and other living organisms. Pollution can take the form of chemical substances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. Pollution is a major global issue affecting the health of humans and ecosystems worldwide. It can cause respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, soil and water contamination, and global warming through the release of greenhouse gases. To reduce the harmful effects of pollution, governments around the world have implemented pollution control regulations and policies. Furthermore, individuals can take action by reducing their consumption of products that generate pollution, such as fossil fuels, and utilizing renewable energy sources.
