Micro- and Macro-evolution

Micro- and macro-evolution are two different types of evolutionary processes that affect the genetic makeup of organisms. Micro-evolution is the gradual accumulation of genetic changes over time on the small scale, while macro-evolution is the large-scale transformation of organisms over time. These two processes are key to the theory of evolution and play a critical role in the formation of new species, as well as in our understanding of the history of life on Earth. Through micro-evolution, organisms can adapt to changes in their environment, and macro-evolution can lead to the emergence of new species. This has important implications for understanding the biological world around us, and for the development of new technologies and treatments for human health.
