Ace Inhibitor Therapy
Ace Inhibitor Therapy is a form of medication used to treat conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, renal failure, and left ventricular hypertrophy. It works by blocking the enzyme 'angiotensin-converting enzyme' (ACE) from converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II. The resulting decrease in angiotensin II helps to widen the blood vessels, allowing for better blood flow, which helps to reduce overall blood pressure. By reducing blood pressure, Ace Inhibitor Therapy helps to lower the risk of developing health complications such as heart attacks, strokes, and kidney problems. It is also used in the prevention of diabetic kidney disease. Ace Inhibitor Therapy is generally well-tolerated and is an effective form of treatment for these conditions.
