Overview
Sustainable energy is energy derived from sources that are naturally replenishable and can be used over and over again in a safe and efficient manner. This includes energy sources such as solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower, and biomass. Sustainable energy has become increasingly important as the world faces an energy crisis due to finite fossil fuels. It can not only reduce dependency on non-renewable energy sources but also provide clean energy, improved air quality and reduced global warming. These renewable sources of energy can help to reduce the cost of energy while increasing reliability and security. Sustainable energy is also beneficial in providing rural populations in developing countries with access to energy.
