Solar Radiation
Solar radiation, or sunlight, is energy produced by the Sun. It plays an important role in many vital processes on Earth, such as photosynthesis in plants, warming the atmosphere and surfaces, and powering the water cycle. In addition, solar radiation can be used to produce electricity through solar energy systems, providing a clean and renewable energy source. Solar radiation is also important to humans and other life forms, as it is the main source of vitamin D in the human body. Increases in current and future levels of solar radiation can have both positive and negative effects on our environment, including potential changes in climate, water resources, and ecosystems.
