Energy Models
Energy models are mathematical representations used to understand and predict energy consumption, emission of pollutants, and oil prices. They are used to inform policy decisions and design energy-efficient products and services, for example, by providing insights about how people use resources and encouraging development of renewable energy sources. Energy models can also help identify risk factors when designing energy-intensive projects and assess the impact of climate change. Additionally, energy models are useful for predicting energy-related costs and inform energy-funding decisions.
