Melatonin

Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body's pineal gland when it's dark. It plays a key role in regulating the body's sleep-wake cycle and is considered the "hormone of darkness". Melatonin supplements are often used to naturally regulate sleep-wake cycles in people suffering from insomnia or jet lag. It can also be used to improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. In addition, melatonin has been studied for its potential benefits in reducing blood pressure, slowing cell aging, and preventing cancer. It is generally safe to take at recommended doses, but it is important to consult with a doctor before taking it.
