Embryonic Development Defects
Embryonic development defects refer to abnormal development of the fetus during embryonic or fetal development. They can be caused by genetic mutations, environmental exposures, maternal health conditions, or a combination of these factors. These defects can lead to physical malformations, organ dysfunction, cognitive delays, and increased risk of infant mortality. Early detection and management of these defects are essential in order to reduce the risk of long-term health complications. Advances in prenatal diagnostic technology have improved the ability to identify potential defects during pregnancy and aided in early diagnosis and treatment. Improved understanding of the molecular mechanisms of embryonic development will allow for better prevention and treatment of these defects and improve outcomes for both mother and child.
