Sequence Analysis
Sequence analysis is a branch of molecular biology that involves the study of the order of nucleotides or amino acids in a gene or protein. It is used to measure the similarity of different gene or protein sequences, as well as to identify patterns in them. The results obtained from sequence analysis can be used to understand the function and evolution of genes and proteins, to diagnose and treat genetic diseases, and to develop novel therapeutic agents. Sequence analysis is a powerful tool for both basic and applied research, providing insights into a range of biological processes and their mechanisms.
