Phage Display

library Phage display libraries are collections of proteins or peptides expressed on the surface of bacteriophage (viruses that infect bacteria). They are used to identify peptide or protein ligands that bind to a target molecule, such as an antibody or a receptor protein, with high affinity and specificity. These libraries can be used to identify therapeutic molecules and to facilitate drug discovery. They also have applications in monoclonal antibody production, as well as in vaccine and diagnostic development. The wide-ranging applications of phage display libraries make them an important tool for biotechnology research.
