Nick Translation

Nick Translation is a process of DNA replication that is used to create complementary strands of DNA from the original template strand. During this process, the enzyme DNA polymerase adds nucleotides to the 3' end of the template strand, creating a complementary strand that is identical to the original strand but with opposite base-pairing. Nick Translation is beneficial in various biotechnological applications, such as gene cloning, sequencing, and studies of DNA-protein interactions. The process is also used in diagnostics, where it helps detect mutations in genes. Nick Translation is a valuable tool for understanding genetic processes, which can help scientists develop new treatments and diagnostics for various diseases.
