Genetic Disorders

Genetic disorders are caused by changes in an individual's genes or chromosomes. These changes can result in a variety of health problems, including physical and intellectual disabilities, birth defects, and other serious medical conditions. Genetic disorders can be inherited from a parent or occur spontaneously. Treatment of genetic disorders often involves specialized medical care and may include medications, lifestyle modifications, surgery, and genetic counseling. Understanding the underlying genetic cause of a disorder is essential for proper diagnosis and effective treatment, making genetic research an important tool in improving the quality of medical care.
