Evolution
Evolution is the process by which different kinds of living organisms develop and change over time. It is the process by which all the diverse life forms on Earth have been created and developed over billions of years. Evolution provides the underlying theory explaining the diversity of life on Earth and the common ancestry of all living things. This process is responsible for the emergence of a variety of traits, including the physical and behavioral characteristics of living organisms. Evolution helps explain many of the characteristics of living things, such as why we have eyes or why some species have better-adapted traits than others. Evolution also helps scientists to better understand the history of life on Earth and the processes that drive biological change over time. Evolutionary biology is an essential tool for understanding the distribution of species today, as well as predicting how species will adapt to future environmental changes.
