Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay

The Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA) is a laboratory technique used to measure changes in the conformation of proteins. It is used to identify and analyze the binding of molecules to a specific target, such as DNA or RNA. EMSA can be used for studying protein-DNA interactions in order to better understand gene expression and regulation. Additionally, this technique is useful to investigate the function of specific proteins, such as transcription factors and other proteins that bind DNA, as well as to identify unknown protein-DNA interactions. EMSA is a powerful and versatile tool used in the identification and analysis of DNA-protein interactions.
