Dna Viruses
DNA viruses are a type of virus that contain DNA as their genetic material which is contained in a nucleic acid core. They are composed of a protein coat and can vary in size depending on the type of virus. These viruses can cause a number of diseases in humans, animals, and plants such as colds, flu, certain types of cancer, and hepatitis. Vaccines are developed to prevent the spread of these viruses, which can help to reduce the incidences of diseases. DNA viruses have also been used in gene therapy, where modified versions of the virus are used to deliver new genetic material to a patient in order to treat a wide range of diseases.
