Respiratory Diseases
Respiratory diseases are conditions that affect the organs and tissues that make up the human respiratory system. These conditions cause problems with breathing, ranging from mild to serious. Common conditions include asthma, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and pneumonia. These illnesses can have a profound effect on quality of life, leading to difficulty breathing, fatigue, and other systemic symptoms. Treatment of respiratory diseases usually involves medication, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery. Proper preventive care and early detection is key to controlling and reducing the risks of developing a respiratory disease.
