Gastric Cancer
Gastric cancer, also known as stomach cancer, is a type of cancer that starts in the lining of the stomach. Symptoms often include difficulty in swallowing, abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss, and vomiting. Gastric cancer is the fourth most frequent cause of cancer-related death worldwide and is one of the leading causes of cancer-related death in the developing world. Early detection greatly increases the possibility of successful treatment and survival. Treatment options may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and targeted therapy, depending on the stage of the cancer and the patient's overall health. Gastric cancer can be prevented by reducing risk factors, such as avoiding smoking and eating a healthy diet.
