Overview

The abdominal muscles are a group of four muscles located in the abdominal region of the body, responsible for trunk flexion, and rotation, core stability, breathing, and postural support. These muscles are essential for daily activities such as sitting, standing, and lifting, and can be strengthened through exercise. Strengthening abdominal muscles plays an important role in providing general stability, improving posture and balance, and reducing the risk of lower back pain. Additionally, strong abdominal muscles will help an individual perform activities with increased efficiency and safety.
