Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer, and it is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal skin cells. These skin cells are caused by damage to a person's DNA, which is usually caused by unprotected exposure to the ultraviolet (UV) rays of the sun. Skin cancer can range from mild to serious, and can be treated with medication, surgery, radiation, or a combination of these treatments. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to successful treatment, and can help prevent the spread of cancer and associated complications. Skin cancer prevention methods include wearing sunscreen with sufficient UV protection, wearing protective clothing, and avoiding prolonged exposure to sunlight.
