Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of diseases in a population, and is used to identify risk factors and control the spread of disease. It is essential for understanding the patterns and causes of health and disease conditions in different populations, in order to develop public health strategies for prevention and treatment. Epidemiological data can be used to understand the efficacy and safety of treatments, the impact of medical interventions, and help inform healthcare decisions. In addition, it can help detect the emergence and spread of new diseases, and help in the development of effective policies for the prevention of illnesses and the promotion of health.
