Overview

Burn management is an area of medical care devoted to the treatment and care of burn victims. Burn management consists of a variety of treatment approaches that seek to minimize pain, infection, and scarring, while optimizing comfort and outcome. These treatment approaches include wound cleaning, wound dressing, pain control, infection prevention, and skin grafting.
