Overview

Mental behavioral disorders are a group of psychological disorders that cause significant changes in behaviour, thinking, and emotion. These disorders can affect a person’s ability to function in everyday life, making it difficult to carry out daily activities. Examples of mental behavioral disorders include anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Mental behavioral disorders can have serious physical and emotional impacts, including reduced quality of life and even suicide. Treatment for these disorders may include psychological therapy, medication, or a combination of both. With the right support and treatment, individuals with mental behavioral disorders can lead productive, rewarding and meaningful lives.
