Overview

An anxiety attack is an acute episode of intense fear or distress, which usually lasts for a few minutes but can continue for several hours. It is often accompanied by physical sensations such as rapid heart rate, sweating, or dizziness. Anxiety attacks can be a frightening experience and can have a significant impact on the person's daily life. Through the use of therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, individuals can learn to manage their anxiety so it does not become a source of distress. It can also help individuals gain insight into the sources of their anxiety, leading to more effective strategies for managing it.
