Overview

Anxiety is an emotional state characterized by feelings of fear, worry, and unease. It is a normal reaction to stressful situations and can help a person cope with difficult or unfamiliar situations. However, when it becomes excessive or prolonged, it can interfere with daily life and may lead to other physical and mental health problems. Anxiety can be treated with medication and/or psychotherapy, depending on its severity. Treatment of anxiety can help improve quality of life and allow individuals to better manage their emotions and more successfully cope with stressful situations.
