Overview

Viral infections are caused by viruses and can be difficult to treat due to their ability to mutate and evolve quickly. Treatment for viral infections typically includes antiviral medications, which act by inhibiting the multiplication of the virus within the body. Other treatments such as corticosteroids and immunomodulators may also be used to reduce inflammation and boost the body’s immune response. Vaccines can also be used to prevent certain viral infections, although they may not be effective against all viruses. Treatment of viral infections is important to prevent the spread of the virus and is the only way to reduce the severity of symptoms and the risk of complications.
