Animal Models
Animal models are non-human animals used to understand biological processes and develop treatments for diseases. They are essential in medical research and offer a unique opportunity to study organ development, genetic makeup, and disease progression. Animal models have been used to develop treatments for cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and neurological diseases, among many other medical conditions. They are fundamental in the development of new vaccines, drugs, and treatments for a variety of diseases. Animal models also provide insight into the mechanisms of drug action, and help to inform us about human health and disease.
