Sarcomas
Sarcomas are a type of cancer that affect the soft tissue and bones, with more than 50 different subtypes. Sarcomas have been known to have a more aggressive nature compared to other types of cancer. These tumors can develop in any part of the body, in areas such as muscles, fat, tendons, blood vessels and nerves. Diagnoses and treatments of sarcomas can vary depending on the patient's age and the stage of the tumor. Treatment options range from chemotherapy and radiation therapy to surgery. Early detection is important for successful treatments. With sarcomas, it is especially important to catch them early, because they can quickly spread to other areas of the body.
