Plant Physiology
Plant physiology is the study of the physical and biochemical processes of plants and their cellular components. It covers a wide range of topics from water relations and photosynthesis, to post-harvest physiology and molecular mechanisms controlling plant growth. Plant physiology is important as it enables us to understand how plants interact with their environment, allowing us to improve crop yields, develop new varieties and study climate change. It is also essential for sustainable agriculture and forestry, as it enables us to better manage resources and understand how plants use and respond to their environment. Plant physiology helps us understand how plants interact with soil, air, and water, as well as other plants and animals. Plant physiology also helps us understand the impacts of pest and disease, climate change and other environmental conditions on plants.
