Overview

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) is a medical treatment used to heal acute and chronic wounds by creating a partial vacuum around the wound. It helps to reduce inflammation and edema, promote healing, and reduce the risk of infection. NPWT is often used after surgery, with burns, and for deep wounds that are difficult to treat directly. It can also be used to help speed up healing of diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and venous stasis ulcers. NPWT is one of the most effective wound care treatments available and can significantly improve patient outcomes.
