Overview
Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgery used to treat colorectal cancer. It involves making three to four small abdominal incisions and inserting a tiny camera, along with laparoscopic instruments. This advanced technique reduces the pain and trauma associated with traditional open surgery, such as a large abdominal incision, as well as shorter recovery times, fewer wound complications, and improved cosmetic outcomes. It is also as effective as conventional open surgery in many cases. Laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer is a safe and effective way to treat this disease.
