Immunotherapies
Immunotherapies are treatments that use the body’s own immune system to fight diseases such as cancer. This treatment modality has emerged as a viable alternative for many diseases, and is becoming increasingly recognized for its potential to reduce the side-effects of traditional treatments. Immunotherapies are designed to target specific molecules within cells as well as proteins and antigens, and work by targeting foreign or diseased cells within the body and prompting the immune system to produce compounds that will neutralize or destroy them. The effects of immunotherapies are wide-ranging and can include enhanced immune system function, targeted cancer treatment, improved wound healing, and improved life quality for patients. Immunotherapies have the potential to revolutionize the field of medicine and offer a more effective and less invasive approach to diseases.
