Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a medical procedure in which a long, thin tube with a mini-camera attached (colonoscope) is inserted into a person's rectum and colon to examine the colon and rectum for polyps, cancer, and other abnormalities. It is an important screening tool for detecting colorectal cancer and colorectal polyps. It can also be used to investigate other issues such as inflammation, infections, and bleeding in the colon and rectum. It is an efficient, non-invasive way to assess the health of the colon and rectum and diagnose diseases.
