Colon Adenocarcinoma

Colon adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that begins in the lining of the colon, or large intestine. Colon adenocarcinomas are the most common type of colon cancer, accounting for about 90 percent of all colon cancers. Colon adenocarcinomas can spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver, lungs, and lymph nodes. Symptoms of colon adenocarcinoma can include abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits. Early diagnosis is key to successful treatment, so regular screenings are important for individuals at risk. Treatments for colon adenocarcinoma can include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
