Overview

Cognitive mental illness is a form of mental illness which affects an individual’s ability to think and make decisions. It is a complex and serious mental health condition that can bring about changes to an individual’s thinking and behavior. Symptoms of cognitive mental illness include memory loss, confusion, difficulty understanding language and communication, and impaired problem-solving skills. Cognitive mental illness is often associated with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. This condition can have serious impacts on an individual’s physical and mental health, and if left untreated, can lead to further deterioration. Fortunately, treatments for cognitive mental illness are available and can be tailored to the individual’s specific needs. With the help of a qualified mental health professional, individuals can improve their cognitive abilities and lead a healthy and productive life.
