Child Development
Child Development is the study of changes in physical, cognitive, emotional and social abilities over the course of a child's lifetime. This field is important for understanding how children learn, how they interact with others, and how their overall development and environment interact to shape their lives. Research in this area has contributed to our understanding of typical and atypical development, and has enabled us to better intervene in cases of developmental delay or disability. It has also contributed to our understanding of the importance of early childhood education in promoting school readiness. Child Development is relevant to both practitioners and parents, as it can help to encourage positive development, growth and learning in young children.
