Adolescents
and Mental Health Adolescents face a myriad of physical and mental changes as they transition into adulthood. Mental health in adolescence is of paramount importance and is affected by a variety of biological, cognitive, and social factors. As a result, adolescents are prone to mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and substance use. Mental health interventions are needed to promote healthy development in adolescence and to address any mental health issues that may arise. Interventions may include individual and group therapy, family involvement, and school-based programs. These interventions can help improve the overall mental health of adolescents, positively impacting their academic performance, social interactions, and overall life satisfaction.
