Who Disease Staging System
The WHO Disease Staging System is an international classification system used to define the stage of a person’s disease. It is used to determine the prognosis of a person’s condition and guide treatment decisions. By categorising diseases into stages, the WHO Staging System allows medical professionals to communicate standards of care in a universal manner. As a result, patients with similar stages of a disease are managed in a more consistent, cost-effective way, improving patient outcomes.
