Viremia
Viremia is an infectious disease state resulting from the presence of viruses in the blood. It is caused by viruses that spread through the body, causing systemic infection. Viremia is a medical emergency and can have serious consequences, such as septic shock and organ failure. Treatment typically includes antiviral medications, supportive care, and in some cases, the use of other medications to boost the body’s immune system.
