Tertiary Care
Tertiary care is a level of healthcare provided by specialized hospitals and other medical facilities to address serious and complex medical conditions. Tertiary care is generally the most advanced level of medical treatment, and includes procedures such as intensive care, specialized surgeries, and cancer treatments. Patients requiring tertiary care often come from other medical facilities, such as community hospitals, with referrals from their primary care doctor. Tertiary care is essential in providing quality and efficient care to patients with serious medical conditions that require specialized treatments. It also helps reduce costs associated with care by preventing complications and reducing hospital readmissions.
