Anatomical Pathology
Anatomical Pathology is a medical specialty which diagnoses diseases by examining and analyzing organs, tissues and cells obtained from patients. It involves the use of microscopic examination and other laboratory tests to diagnose and help treat cancer, infectious diseases, genetic diseases, and other causes of illness and death. In addition, anatomical pathologists may be involved in research to further the understanding of diseases and their causes, diagnosis, and treatment. Anatomical pathology plays an important role in patient care and is essential for delivering clinical excellence in diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
