Chromosome 11
Chromosome 11 is a human chromosome that is present in every cell in the human body. Chromosome 11 contains over 30 genes, many of which are essential for life. The genes located on chromosome 11 are involved in a variety of biological processes, including the regulation of cell division, development of the nervous system, and metabolism. Chromosome 11 is connected to a number of diseases and conditions, such as cancer, autism, Parkinson's disease, and Prader-Willi syndrome. Research on chromosome 11 is providing new insights into the underlying mechanisms that are involved in these disorders, potentially paving the way for new treatments.
